Blue Lake 2023 International Youth String Orchestra

 "The Blue Lake International String Orchestra is comprised of talented and inspired young musicians and performs a full range of string orchestral works. In 2023, the orchestra will perform selections to include: Dances from the Fairy Queen – Henry Purcell; O Magnum Mysterium – La Victoria, arr. Pfeil; L’Amant, Anonyme, and Contredanse – Joseph Boulogne Chevalier de Saint Georges; Serenade for Strings – Edward Elgar; To the Point – Jennifer Higdon; Pavane – Faure, arr. Phillips; Dances of Transylvania – Bela Bartok; Adagio for Strings – Samuel Barber; Molly on the Shore and Shephard Hey – Percy Grainger.

Each of the groups in the Blue Lake International Exchange Program will visit five host communities in Europe with several group excursions throughout the trip. Tentative countries for the 2023 orchestra are France and Germany, but the tour may expand depending on invitations. Final tour schedules will not be available until the late spring of the tour year."
